Lydia Cornell                Jenilee Harrison

Threes Company Jenilee Harrison replaced Suzanne Somers on Three's Company, much to her newcomer misfortune. As pretty as she was, as sexy as she was, she could not compete with the memory of Chrissy Snow (Somers' role). Jenilee was cast as Cindy Snow, a down home country girl who was just a little bit too corn pone to fit in properly. Where Chrissy was a classicly blonde scatterbrain, Cindy was simply the product of a poor educational system and an inbred lack of balance. Where Chrissy was small and as soft as a bunny, Cindy was tall and strong, having had to lift haybales by her lonesome. She probably had to fight off her brothers after they had a bit of moonshine too.

I always had a hard time enjoying the Cindy Snow character after having been so enthused by the Chrissy Snow character. My hormones were running amok back then (not so much now), and Suzanne Somers to me was a wet dream waiting to happen. She was just so sexy to me, and to so many other men (and boys). I have to think that part of that attraction is the attraction all men seem to have to dumb pretty girls. It is the "She Dumb! Me Talk Her Into It!" mentality of our caveman past.

I mean, get real! Just look at her sitting on the bed! My goodness!
I am having hormone flashbacks right now.Suzanne Somers

That's not to say that Jenilee was not sexy, it's just that she was not sexy enough, or allowed to be less of a piece of cornbread than the replacement for Suzanne needed to be.

The show replaced Jenilee with Priscilla Barnes, another not as sexy as Suzanne blonde replacement, but one who was not so country fried as was Cindy Snow.

In 1984 Jenilee played a hooker in Tank with James Garner. She never hooked, but she did wear one hell of a tight shirt that made me reevaluate my opinion of her as a sexy girl. I waited and waited for her to take her top off in Tank, but she never did.

I had to wait another six or seven years for Jenilee to finally take it off, despite her doing a semi-nude Playboy spread in 1987. That ticked me off, as all Playboy spreads of actresses (like those darned Landers girls) who do not show more in the magazine than they do at the beach.

*bleh*

Where is she now: (03/25/2010)

She worked in as an actress until around 2000, worked as a stage actress after that, and then went on to host infomercials. As of 2007 she was still doing them.

Here is the most recent picture I have of her:
